However, to qualify, RecruitMilitary must receive a cancellation request at least ten business days' prior to the date of the Expo for which you were registered. Unpaid invoices must be paid whether or not the exhibitor attends the event for which it originally registered. Cancellation requests must be sent via e-mail to, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. At a Veteran Job Fair, you can begin the selection process with what is normally one of the final stages of a face-to-face meeting with the candidate. We present these events in cooperation with leading corporations, news media, industry associations, veterans organizations, and government agencies. All Veteran Job Fairs take place in major military markets. To attract job candidates to the fairs, we promote the events intensively to our huge database of registered candidates, and we run display ads in major newspapers in the areas where they will take place.

Why Hire Veterans?

If you are not familiar with hiring veterans, we would like to share three reasons why military personnel will make great employees for your organization:

  • Well-trained. Veterans possess skills that are critical for an organization to succeed. They are trained to be mission-oriented and to work as a team. They possess critical skills for organizational success including discipline, responsibility, respect, and unparalleled work ethic.
  • Skills that overlap. Veterans have been trained in specific skills that greatly overlap civilian work. Whether driving an 18-wheel tractor-trailer or leading an organization in an executive position, the military provides people with the training to be successful in trades, as well as the experience and conditioning required for management positions.
  • Diverse backgrounds. The military employs a highly diverse workforce. Approximately 45% of our candidates are women and/or ethnic minorities, enabling you to connect with skilled and diverse candidates through our events.

Cincinnati Career Fair -- Attendee
The recruiters were very attentive. When the recruiter identified a skill set that their company could use, they expounded on positions that may be a potential fit. I got the impression the exhibitors were serious about hiring vets.
Cincinnati Career Fair -- Attendee
Providing a comprehensive list of exhibitors beforehand allowed me to research and target the companies that would benefit from my background.
Cincinnati Career Fair -- Attendee
Excellent candidates! Will attend any future events!
Cincinnati Career Fair -- Information Tecnology Recruiter

I received a job that very day!
1/30/14 OKC Career Fair -- Army E-6
First military event, but very worth the time and money...will definitely be attending again. Also, it was great to shake hands and thank these individuals for their service.
Cincinnati Career Fair -- Manufacturing Recruiter
Military candidates bring more tangible skills to the table. They are not as entry level as college grads who have the education but no hands on experience. Very impressed. A lot of strong and skilled candidates.
Cincinnati Career Fair -- Telecommunications Recruiter
The Expo at Paul Brown Stadium blew away the expectations that I had. The organization of the event was exceptional and the exhibitors clearly wanted Veterans to apply. I can't say enough great things about Mike Francomb and the whole team!
Cincinnati Career Fair -- Army O-5
Four of the people I spoke with today could come work for me tomorrow! Great event!
August 2014 Employer -- Financial Services recruiter
Look at the list of employers and find companies you are really interested in. Then, go to their website to learn more about the company and any open positions. Talk to every company, not just the ones you are really interested in. Network!!
Cincinnati Career Fair -- USAF E-5
Do your research and dress for the occasion. Bring at least two different resumes, one which targets the job you are trying to land. The other should be a more broad based, generic one highlighting all of the jobs skills you have.
Nov 2014 Attendee -- Navy E-7
The recurring role of "talk to everyone" is extremely important and should be embraced by each job seeker. Please continue to stress the importance of networking, not only with the recruiters but with fellow job seekers to increase the likeliness of finding a hidden opportunity.
1-15-15 San Antonio Career Fair attendee (Army O-3)
The Veterans Career Fair was a great opportunity to see many employers in one location in a short amount of time. Do not let this opportunity pass you by. You won't regret attending!
